These were some of the earlier designs for the Racer / Speed Monster Character on the show while we were still unsure on whether this would be a full prosthetic suit for a performer to wear, a full CG visual effect to be produced in post, or a combination of the two. For that reason, these design explorations stayed pretty rough with regards to surface texture, detail and color. As we explored moving away from a full CG effect, we beefed up the legs to enhance and reinforce the character's strength / abilities. I also posted a quick mock up of how the prosthetic legs would be accomplished on set to better explain the green screen suit (legs) to the production.
